Chevrolet Suburban - Video tutorial

Model: Chevrolet Suburban Gmt900 - Years 2007-2014
Part: Engine oil
Operation: Replacing the engine oil in a Chevrolet Suburban.

If the display shows the message: "CHANGE ENGINE OIL SOON", it means that it is time to change the engine oil and filter. The tools needed to carry out this work are: protective gloves, ratchet wrench with 15 mm insert, special wrench to remove the oil filter, two pieces of wood or wedges to lock the rear wheels. Raise the car using a ramp or jack and place safety stands. To remove the oil drain plug, we must go under the vehicle from the passenger side, then place a container under the oil pan and use the 15mm jack wrench to unscrew the drain plug, wait for all the oil flows into the container; once the oil is completely drained we can reposition the drain plug with the new gasket; then, we use the filter wrench to unscrew the old oil filter from its seat (place a container underneath to store the old filter). Clean the seat with a cloth and then lubricate the new oil filter O-ring with clean oil before screwing it into place. Once it has been screwed in (screw it tightly by hand or with the appropriate wrench), lower the car and top up with new oil (SAE 5W-30), check the oil level with the special dipstick and top up more oil if necessary.

Handbrake adjustment on Ford Ecosport

First remove the plastic profile at the base of the gear lever. To do this, slightly widen the side edges and carefully lift it to release it. There is no need to remove it completely, just move it forward to avoid bother. Now remove the plastic center console around the handbrake by first working from the rear to release it and lifting it until the brake lever passes. Also in this case it is not necessary to remove it completely but, paying attention to the connected cables, it can be stowed in front of the passenger seat. At this point we notice that at the base of the handbrake lever, on the front, we find a nut. By acting on it, with a 10 wrench, we can adjust the brake force, increasing it by turning the nut clockwise, or decreasing it by turning it counterclockwise. Once adjusted, the center console can be repositioned first, pressing lightly to engage it, and then the profile of the gearbox base.
