How to Replace the Thermostat on a Citroën Xsara Picasso?

To replace the thermostat on a Citroën Xsara Picasso, access the underside of the vehicle to open the drain plug of the coolant reservoir. Once the coolant is fully collected in a container, access the engine bay, located behind the engine block and just below the windscreen: unscrew the retaining ring that secures a water pipe. This will allow you to access the back of the thermostat, loosening the screws that hold it in place and removing it for replacement.
