Cabin Air Filter Replacement

If you notice a bad smell coming from the air vents when the air conditioning is activated, it is time to replace the filter. The cabin air filter is located in the engine compartment, on the passenger side, just below the windscreen, practically behind the fuel filter. Start by removing the five clips securing the plastic cover in front of the filter housing; then remove the protective cap and extract the old filter. Ensure to remove any dirt residue from inside the filter housing and insert the new one (activated carbon filters are recommended), orienting it according to the airflow direction indicated by the arrows printed on the filter.
