Today we will explain how to independently reset the oil light on a Dodge Journey vehicle produced from 2008 to 2020. To reset the light, we first need to turn off the vehicle's engine and turn on just the instrument panel; then we press the accelerator pedal three times in a row to perform the reset operation.

We release the pedal and restart the instrument panel to complete the update for the next oil change.

These steps should only be performed after changing the engine oil; otherwise, it is not advisable to carry out this operation as it could cause damage to the engine or the control unit.
