Revision of Fiat 500 vintage electrical system

In this video we see the maintenance of the electrical system of a vintage Fiat 500; to show us better, the youtuber removed the spare tire. We then remove the old battery, which is located right under the spare tire, and replace it with a new one, reconnecting it. Now we check for oil in the engine and make sure the alternator is working, then we check the coil: this can be done with either a tester or a test lamp (and we are shown how to build this component, which requires a few steps). The coil is working, but we need to check that the wiring is sending current to the spark plug and to do this we need to remove the cap and check that the points are open. Once this is done, we reconnect the test lamp to check the operation. A second verification method is also illustrated for added safety. Once this is also checked, we clean the spark plug from oil residue. Now we need to check the functionality of the spark plugs and their respective cables. Now we need an assistant to start the car. In fact, by bringing the spark plug close to a grounding point, it should spark. If everything is okay, then we can reassemble it.

How to Open a Stuck Boot on the Peugeot 407?

On the Peugeot 407, the boot may become stuck, possibly due to a problem with the control button or the lock actuator. In such cases, you can perform an emergency opening by following the simple procedure shown in this tutorial. First, open the rear doors, then lower the seat back by operating the release lever. Next, go inside the boot, locate the lock, and manually operate it using a flathead screwdriver. The boot will then be free to open.
