It may happen that, due to rust formation in the engine cooling system, the thermostat can jam, preventing the correct exchange between the hot liquid in the engine and the cooled liquid in the radiator, leading to an increase in the liquid temperature; to replace this thermostat, first allow the engine to cool down, then begin by removing the battery and the air filter box to gain more working space; drain the coolant and proceed to remove the thermostat located on the side of the engine, just below the vacuum pump; in addition to the thermostat, it is advisable to replace the hoses and then refill the system with the appropriate coolant.
