- Years 2003-2012 Loosen the bolts of one of the two rear wheels and lift the vehicle on this side, then put on a suitable safety stand. Remove the wheel after you have finished unscrewing the bolts. To remove the drum, simply unscrew the two bolts with a 12 mm wrench. Disconnect the brake oil tube by unscrewing the screw. Remove the round center cover by tapping into the slot with a medium flat screwdriver. With a 32 mm wrench, unscrew the bearing bolt now exposed and extract it. Unscrew the two screws now accessible with the 6 mm torx. Follow the process in the video to remove the jaws and you're done. Removing the drums and brake shoes is similar on almost all car models.
