How to Remove the Airbag and Steering Wheel on a Freemont

Do you want to remove the airbag and steering wheel on a Freemont? Here’s how to detach the airbag from the steering wheel of the Freemont. Disconnect the battery terminals located in the engine bay. Remove the inspection caps at the back of the steering wheel (if present), then unscrew the securing screws found in the steering wheel (where the airbag is located) using a socket or screwdriver. Once the airbag is released (driver's side), disconnect the power connectors and remove it from the steering wheel. Unscrew the central bolt and remove the steering wheel from the attached column. Install the new steering wheel and airbag components.
