If you have just changed the engine oil in your Fiat Freemont, you must also perform a manual reset to permanently eliminate the oil warning light from the dashboard display. First, ensure that the vehicle is completely off and the doors are closed. Next, press the "Start/Stop" button twice in quick succession and hold down both the brake pedal and the accelerator pedal. As soon as a message confirming the reset appears on the display, release the pedals and turn off the ignition.
