How to replace the battery of a Ford Transit Custom key?

To replace the battery of a Ford Transit Custom key, start by pressing the button to open the key and release the metal blade. With the key open, locate the small notch or slot on the side of the key, near the base of the blade. Use a small flathead screwdriver or a similar tool to gently pry open the key shell. Once the shell is open, you will see the battery inside. Carefully remove the old battery, taking note of the orientation of the positive and negative poles. Insert the new battery, making sure it is positioned correctly. After replacing the battery, reassemble the key shell by pressing the two halves together until you hear a click indicating it is securely closed. Finally, close the key by folding the metal blade. Test the key to make sure it functions properly by trying the door lock and unlock buttons.
