How to replace the engine oil filter on a Ford Fiesta? Here’s how to proceed with the replacement: lift the car with a column lift and unscrew the plug from the oil sump, allowing the oil to drain into a container (tighten the plug after draining). Using an oil filter wrench, unscrew the oil filter, remove it, and position a new one, ensuring it fits well around the thread. Lower the car back to the ground, then open the car door and pull up the engine compartment release lever located at the bottom left of the dashboard, lifting the front bonnet and securing it. Remove the cap on the engine head and top up with new oil.
