A defect that affected the first model of the Ford C-Max I (2003-2010) and secondarily also the II (2010-2019) concerns the ABS/ESP control unit with the warning light on the dashboard and error codes C1095, C1234, C1466 indicating a connection problem or hydraulic circuit issue; other problems were reported with code U0121, meaning loss of communication with the ABS module: all of these issues can lead to the problems mentioned by the youtuber, although in some cases it is possible to repair the control unit instead of replacing it. Check if our car has been involved in Ford recall campaigns, as it happened with some 2008/2010 models.
