Today we will explain how to independently reset the service light, related to the oil change of the Ford Focus produced from 2012 to 2018. To reset the light, we need to turn on the instrument panel and press the brake and accelerator pedals simultaneously for about 25 seconds. After resetting the light, restart the instrument panel while holding both pedals down for another 25 seconds. The reset of the light should only be done after performing the oil change, otherwise resetting the light without replacing the oil could damage the engine oil tank sensors.
