Replacing the Front Door Lock Actuator on the Ford Escape

The instructions in this guide will show you the procedure for removing and replacing the lock actuator on the Ford Escape. First, open the front door of the vehicle and start removing the inner panel by unscrewing the fastening screws; also remove the window switch and disconnect the electrical connector located underneath, as shown in the video. At this point, remove the outer handle and take out the lock module by unscrewing the internal screws and disconnecting the electrical wiring; replace the lock with the new one and reassemble all the door components.
