How to Change the Front Brake Pads on a Ford Ecosport

Let's see how to change the brake pads on a Ford Ecosport: turn the steering wheel to angle the wheels outward, making it easier to access the back of the brake. Push the outer pad to compress the piston, just enough to lift the caliper over the edge of the disc. Remove the upper and lower retaining clips. Remove the two dust caps to access the brake pins and unscrew them, lift the caliper and move it without letting it hang; brush the contact areas of the disc with a wire brush to remove dust and rust, spray brake cleaner, allowing it to dry on its own. Open the cap of the brake fluid reservoir and using a 'C' clamp, push the piston back into the caliper. Apply brake grease to the back of the pad, lower the caliper back into position, reassemble the two pins, the dust caps, and the front retaining clips.
