How to Locate the Fuses in a Ford Explorer

To locate the fuses in a Ford Explorer, open the driver's door and find the side panel of the dashboard, which can be removed to access the fuse box in the cabin. A second fuse box is located in the engine bay, near the battery, protected by a plastic cover that must be lifted for access. In some cases, there is also an additional power distribution unit in the boot, useful for secondary circuits. The back of the covers or the vehicle manual contains a diagram indicating the position and function of each fuse. To perform a check, extract the relevant fuse using the appropriate tweezers and ensure that the internal filament is intact before replacing it with one of the same amperage.
