How to Reset the Engine Oil Light on a Ford Focus

To reset the engine oil light on a Ford Focus, switch on the instrument cluster without starting the engine. Using the multifunction controls on the steering wheel, access the onboard computer menu displayed on the central cluster screen. Scroll to the Settings section, then enter Vehicle Maintenance. At this point, select the Engine Oil option; when the screen is displayed, press and hold the OK button for a few seconds until the indicator starts to flash and resets. After completing the operation, switch off the instrument cluster and wait a few seconds. Restart the vehicle to ensure the engine oil light does not appear again.
