Ford Mondeo / Fusion - Video tutorial

Model: Ford Mondeo / Fusion MK 2 - Years 2000-2007
Part: Coolant temperature sensor
Operation: Temperature sensor replacement

The temperature sensor has the shape of a glow plug to which a cable is connected with its socket. Open the front hood and remove the plastic cover placed on top of the engine; then remove the cover of the timing belt as the sensor is located just behind the camshaft pulley: it is accessed through one of the slots on the body of the pulley itself. Then unscrew the sensor and disconnect the socket of the relative wiring. Then fit the new sensor, connect the socket taking care to position the cable accurately and refit the timing and engine cover
