Temperature Sensor Replacement

Model: Ford Mondeo / Fusion MK 2 - Years 2000-2007
Part: Engine coolant temperature sensor

The temperature sensor resembles a glow plug with a cable and connector attached. Open the front bonnet and remove the plastic cover located on top of the engine; then remove the timing belt cover as the sensor is located directly behind the camshaft pulley: you can access it through one of the slots on the pulley body. Unscrew the sensor and disconnect the wiring connector. Install the new sensor, connect the plug ensuring the cable is positioned correctly, and refit the timing cover and engine cover.
