Removing Airbag Control Unit on Ford Focus

Do you want to remove the steering wheel airbag on a Focus? Here’s how to disassemble the piece above the steering wheel. Remove the cover at the back of the steering wheel: take off all the plastics from the steering wheel. Insert a screwdriver into the slots at the back of the steering wheel and turn left until you release the clips that hold the airbag. Once the airbag is removed, disconnect the power terminals and extract it from the steering wheel. For refitting the airbag: connect the power terminal, then attach the airbag to the steering wheel plastics. Refit the various covers of the steering wheel.
