How to reset the service light on a Ford Transit?

To reset the service light on a Ford Transit, press and hold the accelerator and brake pedals while the instrument cluster is off. While holding them down, turn the key to switch on the instrument cluster, noting that the spanner icon will still be active. After a moment with the accelerator and brake pedals depressed, you will notice that the spanner light will turn off automatically. After the light goes out, you can turn off and then turn on the instrument cluster again to verify that the reset has been completed correctly.
