How to Change the Key Fob Battery on a Ford F150

In this tutorial, you will learn how to replace the dead battery in the remote key fob for a Ford F150. Take your key fob and open it. You will see a small latch between the two ends; use a screwdriver to pry it open until the cover pops off. Remove the worn-out battery from the plastic body using a screwdriver, and get a new one, making sure it is the same size and voltage.

Now, reassemble the cover on your key fob by pressing it until you hear it click into place.

Test the remote by checking the central locking function.
