How to Change the Injectors on the Ford Fiesta 1.4 TdCi

To change the injectors, you need to remove: the coolant reservoir, the EGR pipe, the fuel filter, the air filter housing, the air intake pipe, and the valve cover. Remove the coolant reservoir using 7 mm bolts, then disconnect the cables near the reservoir, move the reservoir and cables aside, and remove the side cover of the engine. Next, remove the fuel filter using an 8 mm socket and a T25 Torx. Then, disconnect the air intake pipe along with the air filter housing by unplugging the connectors. After that, remove the EGR pipe by unscrewing a bolt with a T30 Torx and one with a 10 mm socket. Disconnect the fuel line going to the valve cover. Now you can remove the valve cover by taking off the 8 mm bolts and one 10 mm bolt at the back; gently lift off the cover to access the injectors by removing the 13, 15, and 17 mm nuts. Take out the injector, the seal, and clean the injector seat. Apply grease to the seal, insert the new injector, reconnect the various pipes and connections, and reassemble everything in the reverse order of disassembly.
