When regenerating a cylinder head, it is always advisable to grind the valve seats to ensure perfect adherence between the surfaces and thus total sealing; similarly, it is important to replace the oil seals present along the valve stems to exclude oil leaks. Use the appropriate valve spring compressor to compress the valve return spring and release the retaining collets; remove the valve and extract the old seal; lubricate and insert the new oil seal, pressing it until fully seated, and then refit the valve, securing the spring with the collets.
