Engine Oil Filter Replacement

Replacing the engine oil filter is a straightforward task, but it is crucial to observe one important precaution: do not exceed the tightening torque. Generally, hand-tightening is sufficient, but you can follow this rule: once manually tightened to the end of its travel, tighten an additional 3/4 of a turn. It is advisable to divide and number the 4/4 of the filter, apply oil to the seal to improve adherence, then hand-tighten the filter until fully seated, and complete the tightening with a metal strap wrench without exceeding 3/4.
