How to Perform DIY Maintenance on a Ford Transit

This video explains how to carry out a general DIY maintenance service for a Ford Transit. Open the engine bay, remove the oil dipstick, undo the oil cap, and remove the bolt located under the oil sump, but first place a container to collect the old oil. To replace the oil filter, pre-soak the new filter with oil and screw it in by hand. Once the oil reservoir is closed, pour in the new oil. The brake fluid reservoir is also located in the engine bay; undo the cap and use a syringe to remove the brake fluid. For the coolant, the reservoir is in the engine bay; simply undo the cap and pour in the new fluid, preferably blue in colour. An 80 Ah battery is used; always check the battery dimensions. Finally, it is advisable to change the diesel filter every two oil filter changes, as the float of the filter can corrode, and it is always located in the engine bay.
