To replace the battery on a Ford Explorer, open the bonnet to access the engine bay and locate the battery on the right side. Disconnect the cables attached to the battery and loosen the bolts securing it in place to remove it from its housing.

After removing the old battery, insert the new one: ensure it is properly connected to the terminals and secured in place with the screws that were removed earlier.
