In this tutorial, see how to replace the EGR valve in a Ford Focus, a straightforward task if you have good manual skills. First, wait for the engine to cool down, then open the bonnet and remove the protective cover in front of the windscreen. Next, disconnect both the connector and the various pipes from the fuel filter, unscrew the fastening screws, and take it out of its housing. At this point, you will have access to the EGR valve, which can be removed by unscrewing the relevant bolts. To install the replacement, simply follow the reverse procedure.
