Replacement of Front Discs and Pads

Model: Ford Escort MK 4 - Years 1990-2000

Lift the vehicle on suitable axle stands and remove the front wheel. Disconnect the retaining spring and then remove the retaining pins of the brake pads to take them out. Unscrew the retaining bolts of the brake caliper and move it away from its support, then retract the piston using a C-clamp. Next, remove the brake disc, clean the hub support with a wire brush, and apply grease. Remove the protective oil from the new discs and fit them onto the hub. Also clean the brake caliper, apply copper grease, insert the new pads, and secure it to the support. Finally, insert the retaining pins of the pads and reconnect the spring. Be cautious during the first braking.
