How to Remove the Starter Motor on a Ford S-Max

If the starter motor does not activate when turning the key to the ignition position, it is possible that the excitation relay of the solenoid, which moves and rotates the pinion that engages the flywheel, may be damaged, or more simply, the pinion itself may be seized, or the brushes of the starter motor may be worn out. To remove the starter motor, first disconnect the battery, then work from underneath the engine: after removing the splash shield, you can easily access the starter motor and proceed with its removal.
