How to Replace the Fuel Filter on T6 Version Ford Ranger

This video shows how to replace the fuel filter on a Ford Ranger T6 version: start by opening the bonnet using the release lever located at the bottom of the dashboard on the driver's side. The fuel filter is located on the left side of the engine bay. Disconnect the connector from the water sediment sensor and detach the sensor from the bracket of the fuse and relay box. Use a screwdriver to release the electrical clips from the fuel filter box, and disconnect the fuel inlet pipe. Lift the filter box and remove it, placing it in a basin. Now remove the retaining ring to loosen the filter cap; this has an arrow indicating the direction to turn to loosen it. Then lift the cap and remove the old filter element, then use a screwdriver to remove the O-ring from the container; clean the container thoroughly, drying it carefully, then install the new O-ring (which you will lubricate with diesel) and the filter, then replace the cap. Reinstall the element, reconnecting all electrical connectors and the fuel pipe. Reconnect the sediment sensor on the fuse box. Now turn on the ignition and leave it on for about 45 seconds; repeat this several times and check for any fuel leaks from the filter or connections. Start the engine and let it idle for a few minutes.
