How to reset the battery sensor of a Ford Mondeo

If the START&STOP system of your Ford Mondeo mk4 is not functioning, you may need to reset the battery sensor. First, press the START&STOP button once to avoid starting the engine, then turn on the sidelights using the dial on the right of the steering wheel.

Immediately afterwards, press the rear fog light button five times, then press the hazard light button, located on the left of the steering wheel, three times. After a few seconds, the battery warning light will start to flash.

At this point, start the vehicle and drive for about 20 consecutive minutes to successfully complete the reset.
