Resetting the oil service light on a GMC Sierra is very simple. Follow these steps in this tutorial. This operation should only be done after changing the oil and the oil filter. Start by turning the key to the second position to power on the instrument cluster, but do not start the engine. Next, press the accelerator pedal all the way down three times in a row, holding it down on the third press. After a few seconds, you will see a message on the central display informing you of the procedure in progress, and then of its completion.
