How do you change the engine oil and filter on a Honda CR-V? This is a straightforward operation if you follow the right steps. Lift the car on a column lift or jack, then unscrew the oil sump bolt with a socket wrench, allowing the oil to drain into a disposal container.

Refit the oil sump bolt and the oil filter. After draining the oil from the engine, remove the cover panel (plastic or metal if present) and unscrew the filter using a chain wrench.

Lower the vehicle and lift the bonnet, securing it. Finally, top up with new oil. Use the dipstick to check the oil level multiple times until you reach the ideal measurement.
