This guide explains the procedure for removing and replacing the steering column of the Hyundai Elantra. First, get in the vehicle and begin by removing the steering wheel and its airbag, disconnecting the electrical connector and unscrewing the central bolt. Then remove the indicator stalk and the steering angle sensor, disconnecting the electrical connector. At this point, disconnect the steering column by unscrewing all the fixing bolts and disconnecting the various wiring; refit the new steering column by applying the reverse procedure!
