Battery Removal Instructions

Model: Hyundai Sonata - Years 2004-2014

Removing the battery is extremely simple and does not require special precautions other than noting any activation codes, such as that for the car radio, and avoiding leaving the keys in the car as it may lock unexpectedly. With that said, once you open the front bonnet, the battery is located just behind the driver's side headlamp. Loosen the fastening bolts of the terminals, remove them, and take off the fastening plate located at the bottom of the battery. Before proceeding with the installation of the new battery, clean the terminals thoroughly with a wire brush and apply grease to prevent oxidation.
