How to Dismantle the Engine and Its Parts of a Hyundai Elantra

Let's see how to dismantle a Hyundai engine. Lift the car on a column lift to your preferred height. Unscrew the oil sump plug and let the oil drain into a disposal container, then re-screw the plug. Remove all the side plastic engine covers with a battery drill, then unscrew the plastic cover of the oil sump and pull it off with a screwdriver. Unscrew the belt pins, remove the plastic panel on the cylinder head, and pull out the dipstick. Disconnect all the connectors from the pipes in the engine bay, unscrew all the cylinder head bolts, and remove it along with the gasket. Now remove the air filter kit to access the throttle body; it cannot be dismantled without removing the filter. Use pliers to disconnect the metal clips from the various pipes and the fuel connectors as shown in the video. Unscrew the lower bolts securing the engine exhaust and carefully pull it out of the bay. Another step is to remove the alternator with its cables, dismantle the timing chain cover with all its bolts, pull the chain out of its housing, and now unscrew the cylinder head with a battery drill. Be careful to extract all the bolts from their seats, the camshaft, and place everything in a container. Remove the battery from the engine bay and all the electrical components dismantled so far. Dismantle and remove the engine block, then use a ratchet to unscrew the bolts on the block, followed by removing the cylinder head and connecting rods. Clean all previously dismantled parts of dirt and sealant residues. Thoroughly clean the cylinder block and position the new connecting rod around its seat. Align the cylinder block with the cylinder head, ensuring everything fits perfectly. Tighten the bolts with an appropriate torque wrench. Remember the exact order of the various bolts.
