How to Change Engine Oil on Infiniti QX 80

In this video tutorial, you will see how to change the engine oil on an Infiniti QX 80 by following some simple steps: this procedure also applies to the Infiniti QX 56. The first thing to do is lift the hood and secure it with the prop rod. Unscrew the oil cap to check if the gasket is still in good condition. Lift the vehicle using a hydraulic jack and place safety jack stands under the vehicle. Position a container under the oil pan to collect the used oil. Using a 14 mm wrench, unscrew the oil drain plug and wait for all the oil to drain into the container (always remember to wear PPE while working for your safety). Screw the drain plug back in and using a 13 mm socket wrench, unscrew the 4 bolts of the splash shield. Place a container under the oil filter; using an oil filter wrench, unscrew the old oil filter and then replace it with the new one. Now lower the vehicle and using a funnel, refill with new oil (10W-30). Check with the dipstick until you reach an optimal level.
