Dismantling Door Panel for Window Regulator Repair

Model: Jeep Grand Cherokee ZG, MK 1, ZJ - Years 1992-1998
Part: Power window motor

Clean the glove compartment. Unscrew the three screws located on the handle using a Torx key size 3. Remove the handle by sliding it off the opening knob. Unscrew the screws securing the pillar cover and remove it. Around the panel, some screws are hidden under plastic caps that need to be removed using a non-metallic tool to avoid damaging the panel. Dismantle the speaker grille and the speaker. Pull the panel to release all the plastic clips. Carefully slide the panel upwards to disengage other clips. Disconnect the speaker wires. Gently peel off the protective film using a blade, trying not to damage the sealing adhesive. You now have access to the internal components.
