How the Instrument Cluster Works on the Jeep Compass 2020

To access the onboard computer of the Jeep Compass, press the left arrow on the control panel located to the left of the steering wheel. A series of numbered menus will appear. You are now in menu number 1, where the speedometer is displayed. Pressing the down arrow takes you to menu number 2, which shows vehicle info and has submenus. To switch between submenus, press the right arrow. Menu number 3 is Driver Assist, which can also be activated (and a light will turn on) using the button on the central console. With this function active, whenever you cross the lane without indicating, the vehicle will realign itself. Menu number 4 is Eco, which shows how many litres of fuel are in the tank and how many miles you can drive, along with other consumption data. Pressing again takes you to menu number 5, the trip computer, which provides instant information on the last journey. Menu number 6 is start & stop. Under the gear lever, there is a button to deactivate the start & stop function if desired. Menu number 7 is audio, displaying the radio station currently playing. Menu number 8 is alerts. Menu number 9 is display settings, allowing you to customise your display. Menu number 10 is vehicle settings. Here, there are submenus: the first is the passenger airbag, and this is where you go if you want to deactivate it, followed by other options you can choose to activate or deactivate.
