MAP sensor position on Kia Rio 1.1 CRDI and 1.4 CRDI

In this video we can see where the MAP sensor is located on the Kia Rio CRDI: for the 1.1 engine (D3FA), it is located on the intake manifold, near the EGR valve, often covered by tubes or cables. In some versions it may be mounted under the throttle body. On the 1.4 version (D4FC) it is mounted on the right side of the engine, attached to a plastic tube that comes from the manifold; it may be necessary to remove the air filter, or the engine cover, to see it. Remember that the MAP sensor measures the intake manifold pressure (vacuum/turbo pressure) and sends it to the ECU. The symptoms of a faulty MAP sensor are loss of power, high fuel consumption, black smoke from the exhaust. If we diagnose with an OBD2 scanner, we will detect errors such as P0105 or P0106.
