Let's see how to replace the diesel filter of a 2006 Lancia Ypsilon: it is a more complex procedure than a simple unscrew and screw, because the filter is often housed in a valve tank with several connections. First of all, disconnect the battery; detach the two diesel tubes in the inlet and outlet, the electrical connection and the vent screw. Now we can remove the tank, inside which we find the actual cartridge, which must be extracted. Clean the tank well, insert the new cartridge, mount the gasket and reassemble everything. Before restarting the car, fill the tank of the new filter with clean diesel, turn on the ignition (without starting the engine) to circulate the pump and then start the engine.
