How to Manually Unlock the 2005 Land Rover Discovery 3

If the door locks do not open when pressing the remote button, the remote battery may be dead or the remote itself may be damaged. However, the remote contains a mechanical key, known as the blade, which allows you to manually unlock the door. The lock is covered and protected by a plastic cover that is snapped onto the fixed part of the door handle. Once you remove the blade from the remote, locate the slot beneath the cover of the lock. Insert the key all the way in to release the cover, allowing you to access the lock and open it.
