How to Replace the Diesel Fuel Pump on a Land Rover Defender TD5

This guide shows how to replace the diesel fuel pump on a Land Rover Defender TD5. The fuel pump is located in the rear compartment of the vehicle, but access is not possible from above as the floor does not have an access port. The simplest operation is to cut an opening in the floor and install an access hatch. At this point, disconnect the diesel fuel lines and the power connector. To extract the pump body, unscrew the retaining ring of the unit. Reinstalling the fuel pump is done in the same way as disassembly.
