Replacing Seat Belt Pretensioner

Model: Land Rover Range Rover MK 2 - Years 1994-2002

In the event of a collision, the seat belt pretensioner system may activate, which serves to lock the movement of the seat belt and ensure that the occupant remains secured in the seat. Once the pretensioner has activated, it must be replaced, as the safety system (SRS) warning light will illuminate on the dashboard, and the fault memory cannot be cleared until the pretensioner is replaced. To perform this operation, remove the seat, disconnect the connector, and unbolt the pretensioner from its location. Then, reverse the process to install the new one and reset the fault memory.
