This tutorial shows how to perform the service reset, which is the reset of the maintenance light related to the engine oil life, on a fifth-generation Land Rover Discovery, produced since 2017. First, turn on the vehicle's ignition without starting the engine. Next, to execute the reset, open the driver's side door and pull the hood release lever. At this point, press and hold the brake and accelerator pedals simultaneously for about sixteen seconds until the reset is complete.
