How to Change the Engine Oil in a Land Rover Discovery Sport

To change the engine oil on a Land Rover Discovery Sport, park the vehicle on a level surface and let the engine reach a slightly warm temperature. Safely lift the vehicle and place a container under the oil pan. Remove the filler cap located in the engine bay and unscrew the drain plug at the bottom of the engine, allowing the used oil to completely drain out. Once draining is complete, reinstall the drain plug and check that the gasket is in good condition. Next, replace the oil filter by removing the old one and installing the new filter element after lightly lubricating the sealing gasket. Pour the new lubricant through the filler neck in the amount specified for the engine type. Check the level with the dipstick or via the vehicle's electronic indication and adjust if necessary. Start the engine for a few moments, turn it off, and check for leaks around the filter and drain plug, then perform a final check of the oil level.
