AFS warning light extinguishing after replacement of shock absorber springs

Model: Lexus IS MK 3 - Years 2013-2023
Part: Warning Light - Car Error Code

The AFS system (Adaptive Frontlighting System) makes driving at night and in adverse weather conditions safer and more comfortable. While driving, an electronic control unit evaluates the range of dynamic driving parameters during the journey: the maneuvering angle, the speed and the vehicle's angular speed sensor. Based on this analysis, the lamps of the short-range unit automatically rotate in the horizontal plane according to the radius of the curve, ensuring optimal illumination of the road. This improves visibility by 70% compared to conventional systems and makes night driving safer and more comfortable. Replacing the shock absorber springs involves a significant change in the car's set-up, which is why the AFS device sensor must be re-calibrated to allow it to function correctly and above all to switch off the warning light on the instrument panel; place the car on a flat surface, then intercept the sensor housing, which is located right next to the shock absorber, loosen the fixing nut and adjust its position until the warning light turns off.

How to deactivate the safe lock on a Volkswagen Golf.

The safe lock is indeed an anti-theft system that prevents thieves from accessing the car. This device locks the doors, both externally and internally, when the driver activates the central locking remote control after leaving the vehicle. To permanently disable it, it is necessary to use a diagnostic program such as VCDS that we will connect to the vehicle through the ODBII port. Then wait for the connection and recognition of the control unit and then select the blocks present and locate the safe lock to disable it. And the job will be completed.
