The procedure to reset the oil light on the Lincoln MKT is very brief and accessible to anyone. Like all recent and technologically advanced car models, it does not require a computer connected to the ECU and can be done manually by viewing the information on the instrument cluster display.

Using the keypad located on the left side of the steering wheel, navigate through the menu options and select "settings" using the "ok" button. Then select "vehicle" and then "oil life reset." Once here, press and hold the "ok" button until the light resets.
