Let's briefly go over the step-by-step instructions for performing routine maintenance by replacing the engine oil and oil filter on the Lincoln MKX. First, lift the vehicle and start unscrewing the oil drain bolt found on the pan, allowing it to drain into a container for about ten minutes.

Then, use the appropriate wrench to unscrew the oil filter, replacing the cartridge with the new one (screw it in by hand and tighten gently), as shown in the video.

Finally, top off with the new engine oil of the correct type!
