How to Change the Engine Oil and Filter on the Lincoln MKC

This guide shows how to change the engine oil and filter on the Lincoln MKC. First, open the oil filler cap and lift the vehicle. Remove the eight T30 Torx screws that hold the engine cover in place. Next, using a 15 mm wrench, loosen the oil pan drain bolt and let the fluid drain into an appropriate disposal container. Then, remove the old oil filter cartridge and allow any remaining oil to drain; check if the filter gasket is stuck to the engine and remove it. Lubricate the gasket of the new filter and reinstall it. Clean up any oil residue and reattach the engine cover. After lowering the vehicle, refill the oil filler with the correct amount of engine oil. Turn on the ignition and reset the oil change light from the service menu. Start the engine and let it run to circulate the new lubricant.
